About Dr. DeBello
Providing patients with over 23 years of medical expertise, John A. DeBello, DPM, is a leading team member at Healthy Step Podiatry in New York City’s Financial District and Midtown East. Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Dr. DeBello is well-known for his highly aesthetic approach to foot and ankle procedures.
Dr. DeBello attended St. John’s University in Queens, New York, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy. After earning his undergraduate degree, Dr. DeBello attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he graduated cum laude. In addition to completing a two-year surgical residency at Wyckoff Heights Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, Dr. DeBello also completed specialty training in foot and ankle surgery. He is skilled at a number of reconstructive procedures including corrections for flat feet, bone spurs, and hammertoes.
Outside the office, Dr. DeBello continues his commitment to the field of podiatric medicine by pursuing new research and training opportunities, so he can bring his patients the best care and treatment options the industry has to offer.
In addition to his work at Healthy Step, Dr. DeBello is also the director of podiatric surgery at the SurgiCare Ambulatory Surgery Center of New York and the chief surgeon for New York Foot Care Services.
